Moving to Iowa – Part 3

Things I have learned –

1. Montana has horses, Wyoming has tumbleweeds and South Dakota has bugs

2. Humidity is not kind to my mother, in fact it makes her as one might say, “motivated to get out of this hell hole” (Mom)

3. Peeing in graveyards is sacrilegious but peeing in a bottle in the car in a graveyard is not, at least not to a mother of a desperate five year old

4. The Amish visit Mt. Rushmore too

5. I will never drive through four states with a little kid and two large dogs again… I will shoot myself in the foot before then

Nothing more profound to say. I am now in Iowa and my old life is making way for the new.

I guess you can change one of the things you learned. You did move across country with a child and 2 large dogs, twice! Although the second time was a little better!
